Green Sauce

 

3 medium green tomatoes, coarsely chopped

4 tomatillos, cleaned and chopped

1 or 2 jalapenos, stemmed and chopped

3 medium ripe avocados, sliced

chopped cilantro, about 4 sprigs to taste

salt

garlic powder

1-1/2 cups sour cream

 

Combine tomatoes, tomatillos and jalapenos.  Bring to a boil, simmer until tomatoes are soft, 10 or 15 minutes.  Remove from heat and let cool.

 

Mix avocados, tomato mixture, and cilantro in a food processor, process until smooth.  Pour in a bowl and stir in sour cream, add garlic powder and salt to taste.  Cover and refrigerate.  Serve with tortilla chips.
